Consider opposites from different perspectives and contexts.
Often a net gain may be achieved by increasing the positive and decreasing the negative. Working on just one dimension is often easier, indeed a lot of the effort is spent on doing just that. Consider other perspectives and contexts as well for a better understanding of what is being attempted. Encourage and reward what works. Acknowledge what doesn't so that with effort and time if possible its effects can be reduced.
